Membership

Taken from Constitution Draft, v1.1:

Article IV - Membership

Section 1 Membership must be maintained with a residing majority of attending, registered students of the University Of Washington. Voting privileges will only be entitled to students, both undergraduate and graduate, attending the University Of Washington and/or its affiliated satellite campuses during that associated academic year.

Section 2 Associate membership will be granted to the practitioners, faculty, and alumni associated with the University Of Washington, University Of Washington School of Medicine, and Harborview Medical Center. Voting privileges will not be given to associate members.

Section 3 It is a requirement to attend six out of eight meetings per quarter to maintain membership. If attendance is not maintained, the individual will be placed on probation for the time to attend six meetings since the beginning of probation. If it is not resolved by the end of the quarter, the individual will be denied of membership status. To promote the vision of outreach to more than the medical field, there will be no established qualification requirement, however this provision can be modified at the discretion of the steering committee if it is compelling that these requirements shall promote the existence of a robust, dedicated membership.
