Nestled amongst the trees, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, our cottage overlooks our private, sandy beachfront on quiet Mirage Lake. There is lots of room to run around on the grassy hills, and plenty for the kids to discover, including a tree house! We go swimming , fishing or simply enjoy the sun.
We enjoy paddleboating on the lake and the kids love to see what they can discover at and around the beach. Local wildlife includes deer, rabbits, beaver, blue herons, woodpeckers, hummingbirds and frogs. At night we listen to the haunting loons or lie on the dock to gaze at the millions of stars. We often end our day telling stories around a roaring campfire.
This is our deck, where chipmunks and raccoons come to visit, and our living room where we gaze out to the beautiful lake.
Here's two more shots of the kitchen; this is where we eat our meals and the Franklin stove that keeps us toasty on cool nights.
And last but not least, here is our sunroom, off the side of the cottage, and one of the two bedrooms.
