Brief Info
On 24 March 1999, I finished my last exam paper for B.Eng.(Hons)(Electrical)(Mal.) in Electrical Engineering from University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. Then, I joined Faculty of Engineering (FOE), Multimedia University, Malaysia, as a research assistant on 17 May 1999.  Since 21 July 1999, I became a tutor at Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET) and held a tutorship from Multimedia University (MMU) to further my master’s degree by research (M.Eng.Sc.) in Telecommunications Engineering commencing from 19 October 1999. Time flew after the 3rd millennium countdown. MMU awarded me the M.Eng.Sc. on 05 June 2003 with the official convocation ceremony on 24 July 2004.

After sometime in the course of locating and registering a postgraduate research degree towards a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, the registration was done on 27 May 2004. At the present time, I am simultaneously a Ph.D. postgraduate student and a lecturer within the job category of academia @ MMU-FET handling the research and teaching tasks. The teaching tasks include the FET undergraduate lectures, tutorials and lab demonstrations. In addition, the consultative and administrative tasks are within my job scope as well. Meanwhile, my Ph.D. research title is Data Compression and Cryptology in Multimedia Communications in the fields of information security generally and key security particularly.

Preamble
Electrical Engineering (EE) is a common term that includes Control + Power + Electronics + Electromagnetics (EM) + Telecommunications + Computers + Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Prehistoric EE Incubator = Biology + Chemistry + Physics + Mathematics + Control +  Mechanical Engineering (ME) + Power (Steam, Engine)

Traditional EE = Control + Power (Electricity) + Electronics + Electromagnetics (EM) + Telecommunications + Computers + AI

Current EE = Control + Power + Electronics + EM + Telecommunications + Computers + AI + Computer Science (CS) + Information Technology (IT)

Emerging EE = Control + Power + Electronics + EM + Telecommunications + Computers + AI + CS + IT + Cybernetics + Knowledge Engineering (KE)

Future EE ?= Control + Power + Electronics + EM + Telecommunications + Computers + AI + CS + IT + Cybernetics + KE + ???

EE (Electrical Engineering) (aka Power Engineering) > Telecommunication Engineering > Electronics Engineering > Computer Engineering (Hardware) > CS (Computer Science) (Software) > IT (Information Technology) > ICT (Information, Communications and Technologies) > Bioinformatics.

EE (Electrical Engineering) (aka Power Engineering) > Telecommunication Engineering > Electronics Engineering > Computer Engineering (Hardware) > CS (Computer Science) (Software) > Robotics Engineering.

Computer Communication Networks Problems
[1] Byzantine Generals Problem (BGP) :

                - Involving network of nodes regardless of the gender of nodes.

[2] Cheating-Cheated Husbands-Wives Problem (CCHWP) :

- Involving network of nodes including the gender of nodes.

                - The gender of node is normally divided into three types: King/Queen, Male, Female.

                - For nowadays, the gender categories are (king/queen,) male, female, neutral, etc.

[3] Part-Time Parliament Problem (PTPP) :

- Involving three types of networks of nodes.

- One is the common main node network of partial decision makers.

- One is the static node network of information database.

- One is the mobile node network of messaging carrier.

[4] Eternity Services Problem (ESP) :

- Involving one hidden network of a few number of nodes.

- Encrypted and hidden words of prediction like Nostradamus.

- As time goes on, the stored knowledge are in three groups.

- One group is the hidden and encrypted knowledge kept by the stand-alone owner.

- One group is the chaotic order and defragmented pieces of information surrounding the indirectly leaking secret keeping store.

- One group is the open info due to the time factors.

Computer Authentication / Identification / Verification

[1] What you know :

                - Secret: Key [symmetric key (aka secret key), private key of asymmetric key pair], password, pin, passcode, passphrase, graphical password/key.

[2] What you have :

                - Token: Hardware token [identity card, passport, credit card, martcard, PC card (PCMCIA), dongle, certificate, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), VeriChip], software token [USB flash drive, digital certificate (aka public-key certificate), bank account number, email address, postal address, car number, computer (IP address, MAC address), phone number (fixed line, mobile)].

[3] What you are :

                - Biometrics: Physiological [fingerprint, iris (aka retina), face, facial thermogram, DNA, palmprint, hand veins, footprint, earprint, teeth identification (aka forensic odontology), smell identification (aka odour identification)], behavioral [speaker recognition (aka voice), keystroke, signature, gait].

[4] Who you know :

                - Human Network: Referee, introducer, employer, guarantor, Commissioner for Oaths, lawyer, judge.

NB: Items in italics are currently around the novice level, where affinity is strong for layperson learning perusal to enhance the savvy.
