William Dewhurst a tailor of Manchester, Lancs 5'6+" age 20 fair compexion, grey eyes, black hair enlisted Gloucester 13th Jan 1818 deserted Plymouth HQ 12th Jun.
James Ashton turner and fitter of Ashton under Lyme, Lancs fair complexion, grey eyes, light brown hair, enlisted Rochdale 14th Jan deserted 19 Jun from Fareham where he was quartered during the election supposedly in uniform clothing.

John Ashton late a servant to Mr David Holt of Manchester broke open his cash drawer and absconded with £200 in bank notes. He is about 5'5" high, dark complexion, hazel eyes, red whiskers, looks rather down is about 25 years of age and wore a brown coat and pantaloons. TEN GUINEAS will be given by Mr Holt on the offender being convicted to the person who shall apprehend…

James Riley convicted at Lancaster on 25th Aug and sentenced to transportation for life affected his escape from the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich on the morning of 11th inst. The said Riley is 5'5+" aged 23 well made, oval visage of sallow complexion, grey eyes, dark brown hair is a native of Chorley, Lancs and employed as a gardener. Is a little pock marked, has a scar on the upper part of his forehead, a mole on the corner of his left eye and a burn on the left breast. POOR LAW UNIONS GAZETTE 1867
