4/8/02

Well, believe it or believe it NOT - we have fired J & M Construction! The Board voted unanimously to give them the boot as they were lying to us and giving us the run-around.

So now we have ANOTHER company that we are putting our trust in: Merit Construction of Central Florida, Inc. we signed a contract with them on march 22, 2002 and we are keeping a CLOSE watch on poor Joe who has really been understanding of our frustrations. We will keep you informed and hope to have a sign up BEFORE the summer of 2002 !!!!!

Caryn called Mel from J & M Construction to find out why they have not started back on our Entry Wall Project - Mel informed Caryn that they have had endless problems with mason and brick workers so he is handing our project over to another contractor!!! We are waiting.... This is getting OLD!

1/15/2002

The plans were pulled from the City of Altamonte Springs at the end of 2001 due to the Contractor's subcontractor being unreliable and unable to get the work done. We are waiting for an update at this time!!! PATIENCE! I don't have much of it left at this stage!!!!!

9/30/2001

We are currently in limbo waiting for the City of Altamonte Springs to pass the plans that we have submitted for the entry wall/signs.

7/30/2001

J & M construction have been signed on to complete the Entry Wall project. They estimate the time for it to be approved by the City of Altamonte Springs to be approximately one month. We concluded that it will take almost 3 months to complete the construction depending on the City planners and building inspectors. The Board is planning to get another City Grant for the actual sign/landscaping around the construction.

7/11/2001

The Board members have reviewed quotes for the proposed entry wall/sign. The one quote has been approved, signed and returned. We are waiting to hear on a start date.

7/5/2001

We are in the process of obtaining quotes for the proposed Entry Wall/Signs and Bill Wright will be presenting these to the Board at the next meeting in August. We have already had Engineer's drawings done and pre-approval from the City of Altamonte Springs.

HEDGEROW BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT - COMPLETED

Our sincere thanks to all the Residents of  Woodland Terrace H.O.A. who participated in this planting project. It was a fun day (no doubt we had plenty of moans and groans too - back breaking and all...) and it was a great team effort. Thank you everyone. 

Wendy Bennett of the H.O.A. Board has now put the final grant paperwork together and submitted it to the City of Altamonte Springs. Thanks Wendy for your dedication to this project.

Our thanks also goes to the City of Altamonte Springs for their generosity in approving this grant to beautify our neighborhood.
