Below is the summary letter sent by the executive to interested parties.

August 13, 2002

Honourable Jerry Ouellette
Minister of Natural Resources
Whitney Block, 11th Floor
80 Grosvenor St.
Toronto, ON

Dear Sir:

I am writting to you on behalf of the cottagers from Wolf Lake, a lake located in the heart of the proposed Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park.

The issues surrounding the establishment of the proposed park are of great concern to the cottagers on Wolf Lake. After significant debate within our cottage association, we agreed that, rather than take a position based on a majority vote, we would record and present the results of a referendum on the subject as input to your decision-making process.

Following, for your reference, are the tallied results from the referendum held in August, 2002. The referendum was distributed to 68 cottagers on the lake with 45respondents. Please refer to the attached ballot for the specific questions and responses.
