Hello Everyone,

Please note that Jennifer Fay, Senior Park Operations Technician, KHSS Park has today confirmed that she will be attending our AGM to give a brief update on the Park. Jennifer will be open to taking some questions. She will kick off the AGM at 10:00 a.m. sharp. Prior to the meeting I will also have on hand a map of Wolf Lake, provided my the MNR, indicating trails in and around Wolf Lake for our review. Anyone interested should drop in at 9:30 a.m.

In addition I have included the minutes of the 2003 AGM for you review.

Wolf Lake Cottagers Association
Annual General Meeting
August 3, 2003

Just prior to the start of the meeting, Dana Dvorak requested that Janice Griffith be allowed some time to speak to our meeting. Chairman Todd Kearney denied this request as it was felt this would be inappropriate.

1. Sign-in sheet showed 29 cottages represented.
2. Minutes of the previous Cottagers Association Meeting. Moved by Doug Michaelides and seconded by Laura Ellick to accept these minutes as presented. Motion was carried.
3. Presidents Report. Todd Kearney gave a brief overview of the work done by himself and the executive committee over the past year.
- Fire pumps, given our current financial status, was considered cost prohibitive.
- Todd presented a video of our legislature in action regarding the passing of Bill 100. Bill 100 was presented in Charter form, and still requires proclamation.
- Todd introduced the current executive members and then gave a brief summary of our involvement with the Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Stakeholders Group.
- Peggy McInnis asked how the “park” would affect Cottagers directly ie. Vehicle permits. Todd responded that the Management Advisory Board will deal with many of these types of issues, and till then no definitive answers could be given.
- Dana Dvorak moves that the Wolf Lake Cottagers Association select a sub committee to liasse with the Management Advisory Board. Seconded by Doug Michaelides. After much discussion this motion was defeated.
- Eva Hergovich suggested that the executive looks into how are patent lands are dealt with in other Provincial Parks.
- Susan Rhynas calls for the executive to return to the agenda at hand.
4. The treasurer Janis Young reports that we as an Association have built up a reserve of $1,500.00
5. Committee reports.
- Our lake steward Dieter Marschke, reports that all lake readings taken are within acceptable limits. He also recommends that shoreline vegetation be left as natural as possible, as this helps to filter harmful matter before it reaches the lake. Susan Baird Lot 7, comments that given the higher lake water levels, boat speeds are too high.
- Our road steward, Martha Hunter, noted there was discussion about how we can get the non-payers of the road fee to pay up? Someone suggested that the entire executive go and visit them. Martha noted that she will be sending out second notices to these people

- The costs for the road this year

Spring road work - $1872.50
Summer road work - $4160
Brush cutting on sides of the road and tree trimming $155

Reminder: Our road fees are $125 annually. We receive $60 from each Looncall cottage to use towards the road.

6. Unfinished business. No item was brought forward.
7. New business.
- Pete Boonstra encouraged all Wolf Lake Cottagers Association members to get out and vote in the upcoming fall municipal elections.
- Could MNR be approached regarding fire pumps?
- Todd Kearney has an engraving tool available for Cottagers use.
- Susan Baird has made available on the table, information regarding Cottage Watch.
- The local landfill site will be closed next year, to be replaced with a transfer station on Bulmer Road.
8. Martha Hunter presented the road stewards report, and was thanked for a job well done.
- John Kearns asked if the road insurance covered all roads around the lake? If so, should he not be paying some form of road fees? The executive will look into what is actually covered in our insurance.
- The nominating committee reported that no nominations had been received prior to the meeting.
- Dieter Marschke was thanked for his years of service on the executive. Nominations were then received from the floor. Dana Dvorak, seconded by Eva Hergovitch nominated Bert Needham. No further nominations were received. Bert Needham was acclaimed to executive.

Motion to adjourn at 12:12 PM. Carried

P.S. A brief executive meeting was held following the AGM. The executive for the year 2004, are as follows:
