Rudolph's Reindeer Christmas

So, who am I? Hi, my name's Mercury. Welcome to Christmastown or as it is more commonly known, the North Pole. I'm one of Santa's elves. (Hey, don't laugh. It could happen.) Anyway, the big guy in the red suit asked me to create this site so as to help spread some Christmas cheer. So I broke out the best bottle of bubbly I could find. (Whispering heard in the background as an elf talks into Mercury's ear.) Huh?!

Oh...excuse me, this is so embarassing. I've just been informed by Hermey (an elf who fancies himself a dentist) that a bottle of bubbly is definitely NOT the type of cheer Santa was talking about, especially with youngsters present. Why doesn't somebody tell me these things sooner? *sigh* Such is the life of an elf.

This site is dedicated to Santa's most famous reindeer, Rudolph. Or more specifically, the Rankin/Bass television production called 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.' So why is this site named Rudolph's Reindeer Christmas instead of being named after me, Mercury the Elf?

The answer is that Rudolph is the cash cow (or would that be cash reindeer?) It seems the big guy in the red suit thinks that just because Rudolph's TV special airs nearly every Christmas on TV and cable, and he's had various sequels, toys, books and videos, that means I have to name my site after him. Hey! Excu-u-u-u-se me! Do you see Rudolph typing his fingers(er...hooves) to the bone on this keyboard?! I don't think so!...(Note from the High Elf Editor-in-Chief: Several paragraphs of Mercury's ranting and raving were bleeped out here.)

Anyhoo, now that I got that off my chest, we have lyrics and midis to the songs from the show, or read what Charlie Brown and the Grinch want for Christmas. Check the links below and enjoy.

So what are you waiting for? MUSH! WILL YA?!

  • After you finished visiting my site, be sure to visit the official site for Rankin/Bass (www.rankinbass.com), the creators of the Rudolph animated classic.

Christmas will be here soon before you know it. Click to hear the first few lines of the famous poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Please be patient. It's slow to load but it's worth the wait.
