George's name does not appear on the Carroll County
birth register. The dates were taken from his grave
stone and are consistent the ages listed for him in
the 1880 Carroll County and the 1910 Tazewell County Federal censuses.
Nothing is known about George or Flora at this
time. They are both interred in Worrell Cemetery.
George is the second George W. Winesett. There was a
George W. Winesett in Warrick County, IN for the
1860 census who was born in Kentucky about 1823.
[I have now determined that he was a Winsett/Wimsatt
from Nelson County, KY] There had been contact between
the Kentucky Winsett family and the Virginia Winesett
family. Henry Winesett who left
Grayson/Carroll County in the 1820's lived in
the Nelson County area of Kentucky from about 1835
until 1849.
Nothing is known about Flora at this time.
George and Flora's only know child is Joseph
Gregory (21-Apr-1898 or 23-Apr-1900 to 22-Feb-1969).
