Getting ready for my first ride in 5-1/2 years!  My horse was "Mariah", a 22 yr. old Morgan/Quarter Horse mare.  It was a gorgeous, crisp Fall day.


On the mountain trail having a blast!  Mariah was sure-footed and an eager, responsive mount. One of the best rental horses I've ever ridden.  (And I've ridden LOTS!)


Stopping to rest at the top of the hill for photos. The horse behind me was a black Percheron named Moose.


And here's my trusty photographer hubbie Bill on Zipper, a not-too-zippy 6 yr. old Arabian/Mustang gelding. It was only about Bill's 6th time on a horse.

Back at the hitching post.  What a fun and memorable ride!  One of the top 80 minutes of my life!
