Well Hello there, and welcome to the Western Swing & Other Things Homepage. The Internet's a big place so I'm glad you looked us up. Why don't ya just get yourself all comfortable at your computer and have a look around?

This page was made for any of you folks that might be curious about the show, have heard Allen's voice for all these years and don't know what he looks like or much about him, and will also give you communication with Allen so you can provide input on the show and what you might want to hear!

Allen has been playing great Western Swing and Country music all of his life, and has had the privilege of being on the Air with Western Swing and Other Things over 15 years! In that time he has interviewed all of the people mentioned above... quite an accomplishment for any show dedicated to Western Swing.

You may have noticed that the background has changed somewhat, we'll do that every now and then just to make yourself question whether or not your going out of your mind. On a serious note, it just keeps the site fresh and exciting by changing things out and adding new stuff when we can. If you notice any broken links or problems with the site, just click here to let Allen's son Travis know, he's the one in charge of all this. Don't forget to sign the Guestbook or send Allen some email so he knows what you want to hear this Saturday!

We are happy to announce that on February 21, 2000, Allen was appointed as the Official Dodge City, Kansas Marshal by the Dodge City Mayor: The Honorable Gerald R. Schmidt and the Dodge City Commissioners!

We are proud to announce that Western Swing And Other Things is on the NET! That's right.... you can now hear us world wide on the net simply by logging on to www.hppr.org and clicking on the net radio icon! Be sure and tell your friends!

We are excited to introduce Marshal Bailey's brand new CD The Streets Of Cimarron, featuring 8 original cowboy songs written by the Marshal, plus two tradional cowboy poetry pieces, plus a beautiful rendition of the Kansas State Song, Home On The Range.
