The Concessions
proceeds go into the Project Fund which is used for funding various
projects and scholarships for the youth of the community.
At the
present time we are utilizing our concession trailer owned by the club
to market an ice cream cone we have named "K-Kone." We
have had great success with this concession, and we plan
to continue in various events throughout the year in Manatee County.
We just
finished collecting nonperishable items for the Mayor's Feed the
Hungry on November 8th, at the Village Green Clubhouse.
These items will be donated to Key Clubs.
Along with
local Key Clubs, we will be helping with Easter Seals' Project Rainbow Respite
the 3rd Saturday of November.
The Tomato
Festival will be our first fund-raiser this year, November
21 & 22. We will be a vendoring selling K-Kones,
beverages, hot dogs, chips, candy, and gum. (This menu is always
subject to change.)
For the
2nd year in a row, we will be helping at the Easter Seals' Christmas Party.
This year the party is December 18 at 5pm.
Help us
fund our projects this year by buying a K-Keys Christmas Tree! What
is a K-Keys Christmas Tree? It is a pencil cactus that we will decorate
especially for you. For more information, click here: K-Keys
Christmas Tree Info.
PAST PROJECTS
Last year
we were a concessionare at the "Thomas The Tank Engine" Festival in
Parrish, the Tomato Festival in Palmetto, and the Heritage Seafood Festival.
At Village
Green last year, we collected canned goods for the Mayor's Feed the Hungry.
We also helped with Easter Seals' annual Christmas Party.
Just before
the holidays, we conducted a raffle for a laptop computer, which was mainly
targeted at college students. This project was a success, and
it benefited the Manatee Community College Circle K Club.
