2008 Rally Results

 The Warwick Ladies Golf Association held its 4th Rally for the Cure at the Newport News Golf Club.  The Rally was coordinated by Paula Tumas and raised more than $1,500.  The winning team included Judy Lawson, Betty Lewis, Faye Ruf and Mimi Taylor.  Prizes were provided by County Grill, Golf Galaxy, Newport News GC, Northrop Grumman, Starbucks, 3 Bowls of Color, The Woodlands GC and members of the Association.

Titleist golf balls bearing the pink ribbon breast cancer awareness symbol were awarded to players who hit the green on the designated par 3 hole and prizes were awarded for closest to the pin and longest drive.  In addition to Golf for Women magazine and Titleist, other national sponsors include Adams golf and Etonic Shoes.

Since debuting in 1996, the mission of Rally for the Cure has focused on the importance of early detection in the successful treatment of breast cancer and to support the mission of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.  Komen has received more than $28 million from Rally events to support their mission.
