My Aztec 00 Agent 2:32 time was untied #2 for a few hours on
June 28/9 2002 (U.S.A. time) after Bryan Bosshardt revealed a
revolutionary Aztec strat which I promptly capitalised upon. :-)

Log Of Updates:

Aug 02nd Y2K9: Ooh, it's been awhile! Sat down to Aztec 00 last weekend and got a few messy-looking runs in the low 2:30s. My 2:27 dates to the start of '04, when I had 250(!!!) points on Aztec; little wonder that I equalled it with a run that wasn't too flash. I kept with it, and now have a time that's less than 40 seconds off the pace, lol. Wins on Harv, Tim, Derek & Laércio, ties with Garrett & Morris. Cradle Agent yielded another second too, and I trimmed Facility down a little. The Aztec time brings my 00 Total down to 38th place, just a sec from Harv!

Mar 13th Y2K9: H'm, chances to play come seldom these days. Still, news on Aztec, where I made 2:00 on SA. I'll beat it one day. I headed to Egypt A to go for 50 and managed it in under half an hour (no luck on SA though). Then last weekend I sat down to equal my Streets SA time on 00. It took ages - and seven sub-2 completions - but eventually I nailed a 1:57! (Timer change at ~2:12:9, not bad!) That's a tie with Moore, Jim and Karl among others.

Oct 06th Y2K8: Starting on Cradle, I cleared a second on Agent with little grief. Back at Cavs 00, I got just one sub-3 run before I was sick of it. Managed a 1:49 on Surface 2 00 where all my strafing went well. Moving to Silo, I had no success with A/SA (though I tied my 1:28 once), but on 00 I choked twice on runs that were heading for sub-2. Eventually I held together a 2:02, which ties Dan D. and beats Peter and Woll! Yet the most important victory was passing Steve Z.'s listed 00A Total Time. Of course, it's over six years since he quit playing, and without the Aztec rollback his total is actually 34:10, so I've not beat him properly just yet! Lastly, I've become the 41st player (not counting Carnski) to break 1:25:00! =D

May 14th Y2K8: Two big times, this month. Firstly, after a long time, I've finally done Streets Agent 1:14. Once. =D 1:13 can be done with a 7:1 boost ratio these days. For my 1:14, I needed 8:0 with five 'nade launcher boosts. Lol, I'm crap. My other time is only worth 58 points, but that means little since it's CAVERNS 00! 2:34 is the time, and it beats Derek, Lavs and Dan D., and ties Mouse! As a run, it follows Wouter's old WR strat to the last comp room (entered ~1:45), massive health loss (d'oh), then me being careful for the rest of the run, exiting comp room ~2:05, shooting corridor drones and all guys in the last room. If I can get out of the comp room with more health left, 2:15 isn't out of reach. Fingers crossed. Time-wise, I now top Pascal, Ben, Matis, Peter and Woll in 00 Total!

Feb 12th Y2K8: Got around to getting those 2:26s. My strafing through this level is chronically bad: with patience I may manage 2:24s. But I don't have patience for that while I still suck at Cavs 00A. I've executed the WR strat there on Turbo recently, giving me some hope of eventually doing so in a normal mission. The 2:26s net me some interesting ties and wins, aginst Karl and Eise amongst others. More importantly is a most interesting circumstance I find myself in now, being once more ranked 41st in Total Time (having passed Steve and Ben), yet being ranked no higher than 44th for any Difficulty Total (52nd/44th/44th)! Amazing.

Dec 28th Y2K7: Over a year of trying Henrik's improved Train SA/00A strat from time to time has at long last paid off. Not brilliantly - to put things in perspective, Max just this month got an SA time that's 4 seconds better than mine is now - but my SA/00 times are good enough to tie Karl and Matthijs respectively. This puts me past Sterling in SA Total Time, and in Overall Time, which has been a very, very long time in coming. Also I have two more wins on Vitor now, w00t!

Nov 21st Y2K7: Just two new times for Bunker 2. And not terribly good ones. SA 1:04, a win on Dan D. and a tie with Steve F. and Ben S.. And rather better, 00A 1:21, a win on Greg Lewis, Steve again, Tom, Pascal and Pat, and a tie with Vince, Dirk and Harv! Still, my old times it's not so great; I take too long to run around this level IMO. Better news though: in 00A Total Time I've finally caught up to Sterling! =D

Sep 18th Y2K7: A good solid cut from Cav SA. Nothing went wrong on this run, except I got caught on the last stupid door. That probably cost a second, but meh. I wish I could get even half as near the 00A record as this, lol. Also I got a Frigate 00 time I can't complain about: it ties Karl and Randy! I should try for 1:12 SA soon. Pending hostage co-operation, naturally.

Aug 02nd Y2K7: Finally a tangible result on Cav 00A. Nothing to write home about, though. Still not under three minutes. =(

Jul 13th Y2K7: It's been an incredibly long time coming, but I've managed to cut significant time from Cav SA. This is a truly shitful level, for which I've had 1:47 SA since August 2002. Now if I can just live long enough to complete the WR strat on 00A! My other times are nicer; Egypt :51s. My Cav time passes few people, but it's a win on Zwartjes and a tie with Dirk. Egypt is much more interesting. Wins-Ties as follows: Vitor 0-1, Steve F 2-1, Dirk 0-1, Vincent 1-0, Tom 1-1, Patrik 1-1, Sterling 0-1, Trent 0-1, Dan D 0-1. Lastly, I pass some great folks: in points I've eclipsed Sterling, who was 10th at t-e.n's commencement, when I was only 45th with 3,000; and in time I've passed the one-and-only Steven, who was 8th by time, when t-e.n started. Hefty stuff.

Jun 19th Y2K7: Dam SA lost a second finally! I'm the seventh Aussie to have this time, w00t. Also, cut a second off my Surface 1 SA/00. Wins on Lavery and Woll there, and ties with Karl, Eise, Peter and Eddie. Though I pass Tom in points, Henning did already pass me, so I should be 44th in points and 44th in time now, after passing, at long last, Dirk Olson! Gragz is still one second ahead of me though.

May 23rd Y2K7: Simple stuff this time. Got back to Facility, to knock a second off across the board. There are some interesting ties here (Derek, Karl, Tim G, Matis, Eddie), and also with my other improvements on Depot SA/00A (Eise, Peter, Lavery). I'm nearing Thomas in Points now, though Henning will natually be ahead of me before then. Lastly, these times put me right between Vincent and Dirk in Total Time. Incidentally I'd like to make a note that the Top 100 GE Eliters are all within a 29 minute timeframe now. Amazing!

May 02nd Y2K7: All's quiet on the Caverns front. What a miserable level! Sat down and got Statue 2:27 across the board. It's three years since I got my 2:28s, and my SA 2:27 was quite slow, so I'll try for 2:26s before long. I got more up to speed on Bunker 1, with a decent SA :27 and a nice(r) 00A 1:15 which ties Steve Zwartjes. Lastly, an utterly random Jungle SA 1:13 which also ties Steve, and which made me hate Jungle all the more. I know I said a very long time ago that if I broke 1:00/1:10/1:20 Jungle I'd never play it again, and I might just make good on that soon. I'll just add here, that SupaN00b (SupaOdin) Glen Stevens this week became the first Aussie to crack 1:20:00. Compare this with Karl being the first Aussie under 1h30 in March 2001, and probably Damian, Mike or I being first under 1h40 eighteen months earlier. Fascinating, though I must admit my money was on Moore for 1:20:00. =(

April 07th Y2K7: Cradle SA 43 is the good news. The bad news is that my Caverns 00A time is still shite. Why is this level so hard? Following Wouter's 1:42 vid strat I can usually make it to the last computer area, but by then I invariably have no health left, and get bumped off before I can exit the room. D'oh!

March 14th Y2K7: Another lovely Agent time. High time I got it; plus a thoroughly satisfying 00 time to match. This brings me down to an even 1:27:00. Alas, time spent trying to execute Henrik's Train SA/00A strat has not yet paid off.

February 19th Y2K7: Yay Frigate. This level gets such a hard time for being so lame. Which it deserves. I now have SA/00A times that are a better grade of mediocre than they were before. This does mean two wins on Zwartjes and one on Sterling, though. Now, if I could just knock something off my Agent time.

January 14th Y2K7: The news this time is a pair of 1:01s for Facility SA/00A. I think I can drop another second from SA at least, but even these give me two wins on Vitor, two ties with Stevens and one with Lewis, and an overall tie with Vitor - for now - which is good stuff. =D

December 18th Y2K6: Bunker 1 18!!! Went to town on Bunker 1 actually, taking a second off across the board. I get another tie and another win on each Coe, and another tie with Vitor. Really though this constitutes many ties and wins, because that 18 nets me 92 points now!

December 08th Y2K6: No huge announcements this time, lol. My Train SA dropped by a second. =D Some nice Depot SA/00 second cuts; nets me two ties with Stevens (and a win on Vitor too).

October 27th Y2K6: Archives 17!!! Very smooth; how many guys have a :16 here? XD Nice Streets SA 1:57, and my Surface I SA time finally caught up, hehe. This may put me a little past Paragon in points, too.

July 28th Y2K6: Woo! Bunker 2 27!!! Twenty-two people now have one less win on me. :o) Also I cut a further second from Surface 1 SA and 00A, probably through better strafing than usual. Thanks go to Bryan for his vids, next to which my own runs seem singularly retarded. I did some sw33t 'nade firing, though.

August 31st Y2K5: 54'd!!!!!11!1!!one! I now have as many 54s as Derek. @_@

August 18th Y2K5: Played to relax this arvo after two gruelling mid-semester exams for my Chemistry units. Ugly, but anyway, went straight to Archives 00A and got 1:01 within about 20 minutes. Played an hour longer and a :58 popped out at me! Shockingly good door opening. Conversely my subsequent :58 on SA was fraught with trouble, and what seemed like positive beleaguerment with guards whilst I was waiting for Mishkin. Bastards... :o) This should put me past CRayola!

July 19th Y2K5: Just two small improvements; Dam 00 and Depot SA by 2 seconds apiece. Thanks to Dan's Dam vid, but I got the Depot time all by myself! :o) I still can't believe it wasn't a :49. Must've been a very slow :48, hehe. Spent about a second longer in the comp room than I should have, but went well besides.

January 29th Y2K5: Pascal Viets started a Rivalry for GE with a few players, just for the fun of it. I'm calling it the GE "meh" Rivalry and really it's thanks to Pascal that I played again. I've lost my 30th place in Total Time to [the excellent] Ilari Pekkala as of January 26th, 2005. Might he be like Alex and Pascal: a relative n00b who rises to extraordinary heights? Already he has Dam 53 and is close to 1:27:00. So yes, Cav A 1:04, Arc SA :59, Egy 00A :52. Nothing spectacular, but guess who I finally pass in points? The one-and-only Steven!

December 15th Y2K4: More scrutiny of Bryan's 4:18 and 4:22 vids aided the squeezing out of another improvement of Control SA and 00A. A big surprise though is Depot A 27 (!!!) something I thought I'd never achieve! Many many thanks to Peter Osterland for his 26 vid. I had 15 smooth 28 runs in a row (not including all the runs where my crucial shot was in vain or missed) before I made an ultrasmooth run for a 27. I could never do 26, but hey, I'm not alone there!

November 26th Y2K4: Gah! I'm now sitting ON 22:00 A time. =( But I'm approaching 36:00 00A time. Whoa. I'm also past Dan in Total time! I captured Control SA and Aztec A. I must soon try Statue 2:27 because I know I can manage it. But hey, I finally tied Vitor in Total Time!

November 17th Y2K4: I did it! I broke 1:28! Two improvements on Control SA and 00A sent me under. I needed Bryan's vids to help me with these, so thanks Bryan (again!)!

October 06th Y2K4: I is back. Oh, dear. It appears I had calculated my 00A Total wrongly before. It was ahead of me by 2 seconds. Apologies people. But now that's fixed because I had cut 2 seconds off it this week. =D More solo PRs this week but most were still vid inspired (thanks particularly to Wouter's Train and Aztec vids and Bryan's Frigate and Egypt vids). I approach 3,700 points once more. Mwahaha!

June 23rd Y2K4: I'm sorry! I didn't mean it, honest! It was an accident! I accidentally pulled off a sweet 4:12 on Control Agent whilst trying to complete Derek's wizard challenge. I got a rather shocking finish time that I won't bother setting in here. =) But this brings the respective totals down by 2 seconds and nets me another 14 Agent Ranking points. That'll keep me above 1,000 there for another week. ;-) Thanks to nobody for no videos! My first solo PR in ages! w00t for me!

January 12th Y2K4: My interests recently have drifted towards the old skool RPGs of yore, including (but not restricted to) all Final Fantasies I through VI, Breath of Fires I and II, and of course the grand old Square classics. I've made several PRs over the past month, most recently Statue 2:28 across the board, and a lovely Aztec sweep which nets me ties with Karl and Harvey and most importantly: a win on the great Mr. Clark. I extend the usual gestures of gratitude toward messrs Jansen, Bosshardt, ten Ham, Zwartjes, etc. for their ripper vids. I've caught the following on VHS myself: Jungle SA, Control A and 00A, Aztec 00A and Egypt A and SA. Thanks again to one and all, and please remember not to feel patriotic when it matters most.

December 06th Y2K3: Just a quick update to state my improvements of the past fortnight. I managed to bust out another 11 seconds; improvements in various difficulties on Facility, Frigate, Streets, Cradle, and a nice 0:54 for Egypt 00A that took quite a bit of doing. =) These improvements are enough to gain me a place in time, but not in Total Points. I may be as high as 3,800 points now though! Thanks again to the vids of Mr. Jansen and others. ;)

November 20th Y2K3: OHMYGOD! I survived the first year of University! And in GE, I've played a fair amount in recent days, chopping a couple of seconds each day and shifting stages to avoid boredom and the inevitable "screw it" that follows. Many thanks to Wouter's Train and Aztec movies, and Randy's Dam SA movie. I couldn't have done it without them. My Dam 00A improvement (from 2:14 to 2:12) is from October (about the 3rd), but since then I've cut fourteen seconds from my total: 4 from Agent, and 5 from SA and 00A. I've cut through the 1:29:00 barrier and am approaching Mr. Bauer for the second time this year. =) Point-wise I am also approaching him, and may just have passed Mr. Nilsson in Total Points. Also, I caught that sweet Aztec 00A time on tape, aswell as Train SA and 00A.

January 31st 2K3: Made a heap of improvements, mostly point-wise, since I noticed I had an almost insanely low amount of points compared to my total times. With these improvements I pass both Ben Gorman and Martin Bauer in Total Times. Hopefully I can pass Patrik Nilsson and Shawn Johnson in Total Points, but I'm not holding my breath to pass Scott Berger. =) =)

December 05th 2K2: I'm just a stone's throw away from Ben Gorman... This time, though, I broke another two important minute barriers; 30:00 SA total and 37:00 00A total! I owe it to the great Silo and Bunker 2 vids I watched, from Wouter Jansen and Greg Lavery. Of course I'm nowhere near 1:37* Silo 00A yet, and probably never will be, but I was pleased to cut 2 seconds off my time there. =) I got several more runs on tape, including one or two LTK things.

September 04th 2K2: After watching Matthijs' great 2:18 Aztec 00A movie I had a shot at beating my time and sure enough I did, by a second. =) Although SA and 00A totals are just seconds away from minute barriers, the overall total just passed a very important one: I'm now the 29th player to pass below 90 minutes! I'm also ranked 29th, just 1 second from Chris Rayola. I may even get close to 4,000 points.

July 26th 2K2: Unbelievable! I managed to better my great Aztec times (well two of them at least) and quite a few others too! No really big improvements, though I had a couple of 5 or 6 second cuts. Much of the time cut was from Secret Agent where I cut ALOT of time off many levels. My Total Times are now (A) 37th, (SA) 32nd, and (00A) 26th! This gives my overall time a boost aswell, to 30th place! Since I passed Damien Coe I'm now 4th in Australia too!

July 08th 2K2: I added to the table a column displaying my LTK times. Just yesterday I managed to complete for the first time Aztec and Statue LTK!!! This leaves only five levels for me to complete: Runway, Train, Jungle, Control and Caverns. It's doubtful that Surface 1 or Streets is possible on LTK.

June 30th 2K2: Bryan Bosshardt reveals a great new strategy on Aztec and I improved my times drastically. I took off nearly 2 minutes! I also believe I held the 00A record breifly until Matthijs ten Ham took it! *Update*: I had been ahead of Matthijs' WR for several hours (almost ten) but Tim Greneby had already got 2:29 by the time I cracked 2:32. Shame, but that's how it goes. =)

June 21st 2K2: Profile uploaded to the 'Net!

Other Important Updates, before profile:

March 2K2: Derek Clark has added me to the new site's Rankings for GE players. I am 31st in Time and 45th in Points.

Late 2K1: I improved Control 00 Agent by 10 seconds for a great 5'01! Total Time: 1:35:25.

Mid 2K1: I managed to complete Aztec 00 Agent in 3'18!!! That's a whole 5 seconds off my previous time! I've bought the game again and am expecting some fairly good progress soon! Total Time: 1:35:35.
