Charlemange to the Elliotts

The Elliott family is my mothers branch. Recently I have discovered information that this family goes back through the Albini's to King David of Scotland or the Caunceys who came to England with William the Conqueror or the de Vere's all the way back to Charlemagne. It's a real possibility. More information will be added as I get more info from my cousin Teresa who has my Aunt Mabels Archives. My mother, Bernice, was born in Kersey, CO.

Names associated with the family are York, Burson(Busson), Burntrager, Longstreet, Spitler and many more. Most of this side were Swiss or German. They settled in OH and IN. James Bratton Jrs. wife, Elizabeth Burntrager, was born and raised in Delphi, IN and the house her father built in 1846 is still standing and occupied. The family is mostly buried at the Oddfellows cemetery just north of Delphi including Elizabeth.
