That night he soaked in the shower for hours, washing himself repeatedly until his skin was raw. His eyes still dark & somewhat fixed. He kept thinking of her heart. He knew it would be best to wait til Hallo's Eve...exactly one year after. He threw on his favorite dark clothes and headed into the night. The moon was full and he wanted to take a walk, in the brisk night air. As he strolled with his hands deep in his pockets, he gazed at the glistening stars. His destination, the cemetery, he wanted some piece of mind.

He opened the rusted gate, letting a horrendous screech pierce the silence of the night. Sprawling across a marble slab, he looked towards the midnight sky. Stars shown brightly on the cold winter night, and occassionally one shot through the sky. His watchful eye caught one or two, and a slight smile turned in the corners of his mouth. A small part of this demon wanted happiness, but he was trapped with no immediate solution. At this point, there were no options. He gulped down some liquor to help him think. It just was not going to happen to him, he thought to himself. He closed his eyes letting his thoughts float away to her. He could feel her hands gently caressing his shoulders, even smell her perfume. She had made such an impact of his life for the short time he allowed her in it. She showed him a passion for life he never had. She made him want things, rather than loathe them. She had ultimately showed him a kind of happiness. And that he could be loved.

On that thought he lit a clove, and laid back, again gazing at the night sky.

He drifted into a light sleep...thoughts & dreams of Jessica polluted his slumber. Mysterious signals within the dreams, lie hidden...he had yet to figure out. He could not admit that deep within the core of his being, he loved her, longed for her, needed her. But his mere evil essence alone would not let him say he loved her...nor would he bring her back....not yet.

He was rudely & abruptly awkakened by a sharp kicking to his boot. Grimacing, he managed a scratchy yell, "dammit, who is the fool...?" He said sharply.
Little Tabbs stood arrogantly at his feet. "Well, did you get done what I asked?" she fired at him.
Rolling his tongue around in his mouth to try & remove the nasty taste, he snarled at her. "Give me the money & be gone you spoiled wench." he growled. "I hope to never see you or your wretched coven again. I, myself, have only seen worse behavior from demons. But who, of course, am I to judge...?" he finished sarcastically. Little Tabbs tossed the envelope of money at his feet, peering through her mocha bangs. She arched a brow.... "If I shall need," she began, but he cut her off abruptly..."No! I shall not help you or your nasty friends again, I say. Take heed and stay away from me, I am not fond of you Tabbs nor do I appreciate your attitude, therefore I have not really a use for you. So before I make a move, you should find yourself on your way, and quick." his anger began boiling to the surface. His eyes were bloodshot, a vein pulsed at his temple. Someday you shall reap what you've sown, dear Tabbs, it will come back to you, he grinned as he spoke. Tabbs began to tremble, feeling much like a child without its mother, backing up, only to turn and leap into the darkness from which she came. Blade grinned in self-satisfaction, ridding himself of the worthless bitch. He could not believe he did what he did, but hell, he needed money. He wanted to take off and start over, somewhere else. And somewhere far from where he would be thinking about the Countess.

He picked New York City to hide in next...he had plans to open a nightclub where he could hide beneath the world of reality. It was perfect he thought.

Upon arriving, he felt drawn to this clock tower he had seen from the air. He walked through its halls, hearing the hints of the Countess. It was her home, and he knew it. He forced his way in, eyeing the magnificent beauty of the place. There were portraits of her all around, as he just drank in her beauty. He was so taken with her. He had less than a year to decide if he would bring he back. He could feel her as he held objects, played with her belongings and gazed upon her pictures. He loved being inside her place...he felt an odd comfort. That night he found her diaries, the vampire journals that she kept and he began to get insight into the tortured life she led. By the night's end he would have new respect for his departed love. And maybe he would have made up his mind by the night's end as well.
