Veterinanian Care

There are some parents who think taking us to a veterinarian is too much to spend on a lizard. What kind of parenting is this? If you can't afford a veterinanian bill, then you can't afford to buy an iguana. Check out Lucky's Story.

As much as I hate the veterinarian for taking blood out of this lizard, all iguanas should have a blood test to check calcium and phosphorus levels. Iguanas also need to be checked for worms, parasites and other iguana diseases. We iguanas die painful deaths due to inadequate care knowledge of owners. Most iguana health problems are due to improper care and the most common problems are metabolic bone disorder and kidney problems. Iguanas can also get cancer and bladder stones, as well as skin infections, fungus, respiratory and ear infections.
