Lucky's Story

Lucky was for sale for $79.99 in a Hampton Roads Pet Store. The people at the store said nothing was wrong with Lucky's ears. When several people insisted that there was a problem with his ears, the store consulted with a veterinarian. They said they would not do the surgery, because they have a business to run and they could not recoup the money. Thanks to IguanaFIRST of Virginia, Lucky was released for free. Lucky's ears were drained at PetCare in Virginia Beach.

This is a before surgery picture. Lucky's ear problem was believed to be caused by Cryptosporidium. Although Cryptosporidium is a growing problem, Lucky's ear problem was diagnosed as mold.
These picture show Lucky's ears draining after surgery. Lucky is now healthy and living in North Carolina.
