Sailing
I sail a Snipe both socially and competitively. A Snipe is a 15.5 foot two-person sloop. Visit the Snipe Class International Racing Association site to learn more about Snipe. I sail out of the Newport Yacht Club on Irondequoit Bay in Rochester, NY. I have been learning all about racing from a great group of fellow Snipers there. The picture below shows several Snipe competing in the 1999 Briody Regatta, held every summer at Newport.

Soccer
I play goalkeeper on several different recreational women's soccer teams in the Rochester area. In the winter and spring I play indoors at Intense Sports, in the summer I manage a team in Webster through the local YMCA and in the fall I play in two suburban leagues.
Softball
I have played softball since I was 8 years old. First in little league and then on my high school team. First base and shortstop are my favorite positions but I will happily play wherever I am needed. This summer I organized and played on a co-ed recreational team through Rochester Rec. We weren't very good (2 and 6) but we had a great time.
Skiing
I am an avid downhill skiier, although I can never get out as much as I like, 'cause I can't afford the lift tickets. I learned to ski in upstate New York at Bristol Mountain. I have been told that if you can ski well on the ice of western NY, that you can ski well anywhere. For the last 5 years I have done most of my skiing with friends at Sugarbush mountain in central Vermont.
Photography
I have been taking pictures as long as I can remember. I have several different cameras and love doing my own black and white darkroom work (although I don't get the opportunity very often). Check back in the future to see some of my work.
