Background: Tyson lives in Japan with his grandfather in the family
dojo. It's unknown what happened to his mother and his father is an
archeologist and hardly ever home. He has an older brother, Hiro who he
hadn't seen for years and later reappears as Jin of the Gale.
Tyson is more the leader of the Bladebreakers team, boisterous and
loyal, he uses the bitbeast Dragoon. He makes friends with everyone he
defeats, and their teams too and defends his friends to the end. He's
idealistic and takes betrayal quite seriously, even though he can be a
bit over emotional at times.
Tyson was the first character to be introduced, late as usual, to a
beybattle with a kid named Andrew. Upon arriving he found out that
Andrew had lost to a kid named Carlos who had claimed his blade. Tyson,
being Tyson, challenged Carlos contrary to Kenny's attempts to keep him
out of it. In order to defeat him Tyson made his beyblade four times
faster by lengthening his rip cord and using a running launch. He
defeated Carlos and got the beyblades back only to have to deal with
Carlos' boss, Kai. He battled Kai and was crushed by his overpowering
bitbeast. He later recieved his own bit beast through a family a
heirloom, a sword and challenged Kai, eventually beating him in a
tournament after defeating Rei and winning a spot as one of the Blade
Breakers. In China he tied against Lee, forcing Rei to take the
tiebreaker. He defeated Steve in the American tournament and challenged
each of the Majestics, minus Johnny. He lost to Robert, tied with
Oliver, and beat Enrique after several tries. The Blade Breakers then
challenged them as a team and he managed to defeat Robert. In Russia he
defeats Tala and wins the World Tournament.
Tyson was challenged by Ozuma and lost to him, later on managing to
defeat him after numerous challenges. He later became friends with Kane
and tied with him until Kane joined Team Psykick and tried to steal
Dragoon. Tyson defeated him and Kane left Team Psykick eventually. He
also befriended Zeo, later on defeating him to win his second world
tournament.
Most of Tyson's friends ended up leaving him for the next tournament,
forcining him to chose Daichi as a partner under the training of his
brother. He took it personally and struggled through the tournament,
eventually defeating Kai in the end and claiming his third tournament
title. He led the G-Revolution team, defeating Garland and forcing
Brooklyn to realize his errors, thus ending Boris' reign.
