Txon Pomés was born in Pamplona, Navarre (Spain)
in 1956.
In 1978 she obtained a Management-Assistant diploma
from the University of Navarre in San Sebastián.
In this beautiful city she became interested in painting.
In 1978 she started working in Bilbao until 1983 when
an illness forced her to stop working and return to
Pamplona.
In this period of time Txon Pomés discovered
the magic of watercolour through the work of the English
painter Ron Ranson.
In 1999 she managed to make her first visit to his workshop
in Wales(Great Britain) and she later returned on two
other
occasions.
She has also attended three courses with the impressionist watercolours painter
David Taylor (Australia).
Txon Pomés's first exhibition took place in 1996
and up until now she has done more than 15 exhibitions,
half of which as an individual artist.
Nowadays, she is a member of the Basque Watercolour
Association.
Her paintings have been displayed in public and private
collections both in Spain and abroad.
