Hi! I've just ordered and received the movie "A
Summer in La Goulette". I haven't watched it
yet though, but am really excited about it.
Anyway, I bought it really cheap from e-bay. If
anyone else is interested, the movie is still
available there. Go to ebay.com and search
for "la goulette". Take care. |

Statt zu lernen hab ich mich mal wieder im Inet

-Gesundheitsschädigung:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to come to the
"Oktoberfest Meeting part 1" because of an
important test at the university (my last one!!!).
So I drove one week later with my friends from
Dortmund to Munich, where we slept in the cellar
of Martin's residence and spent 5 days in Munich
and mostly at the Oktoberfest. There we also met
Andrea and she joined us in the tent to have party.
One questeion to the group from the "Oktoberfest
Meeting part 1": Why do you speak of Oktoberfest
while you actually haven't really been there.
Better you call it "Chicha Meeting in Munich", hehe.
Greetings to all of you, Daniel |

Hello all La Goulette people,
You don't know me, I got the address of this
site through Peter Fors. In summer 2001 i was
also an IAESTE trainee, spending 9 weeks in the
La Goulette appartments (we called it "Cockroach
Palace"). My "generation" had also very very
much fun, we were a lot of people and many
friendships and memories were born there. It
seems to me that every year a different group
goes through similar adventures and experiences
in the very same places (yes, we also ate at
the "sandwitch" place and we also took the same
evening walks along the restaurant line - in
fact we even used the same bed sheets! :) Yet,
our groups are not really aware of each other.
I myself got very used to the life in Tunis, and
when I left the place in august 2001, I felt
that I was leaving a real home and real friends.
The news from you all made me quite nostalgic
now...
If you want to see pictures from that time
(you'll surely recognize many places) go to my
website:
http://www.zoltan.tk
or directly to:
http://www.ludd.luth.se/~zoltan/album/tunisia01-
1.php3
As you can see, even we did the great tour to
the south, organised by IAESTE Tunis. There are
even some mp3 sound files there to bring back
sweet memories.
We also have a mailing list, together with the
mostly Italian and Spanish students who were
studying Arabic at the Bourguiba School in Tunis
that summer. The list is called
habibi2001@yahoogroups.com
There's also a report of my stay at:
http://www.ludd.luth.se/~zoltan/iaeste/tunisien/
(In Swedish)
Long live the memories of La Goulette (and even
the student residence in town), and keep writing,
-Zoltan, Vienna |

The guestbook of geocities (cf. link) seems to
have a problem, at least I couldn't read the
entire entries, if it was more than a few lines.
So I hope, this here works better. Thanks for
