Artist of the Month for January:  Paul Cezanne

Still Life with Apples and Oranges- 1899

   Paul Cezanne(1839-1906) is known for his "still life" paintings.  He was very concerned with color, form, and structure.  He is a very important artist because of the influence he had on so many of the artists who followed him, such as Picasso and Matisse.  This month in art, we will be doing our own still life drawings in the style of Cezanne.

Reminder for January:  Don't throw away those old calendars!  We can use them in the art room for our image file. Thank you!
