Poetic Dreams




A couple of years ago my daughter Lynn (Short_stuff78) had to do a poetry book for a class assignment. All of the poems had to be original. There had to be one of each of the following: ballad, epitaph, sonnet, satire, cinguain. The subjects had to include: love, death, nature, school life, occupation, family, friend, place, object, and one of their own choosing. She already had a few written, that she had done on her own. She got busy writing and asked me to key them in on the computer for her. For her poetry book entitled, "My Book of Poetic Dreams", I used Word Perfect and had her pick out the pictures to use as watermarks for each poem. Lynn's teacher loved the layout we had come up with, and nominated her for "Who's Who". Lynn was picked for "Who's Who Among American High School Students. Below are a few of the poems that were written. Hope you enjoy them. With her permission I am posting them.
