From the days of the Revolutionary War to WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, The Persian Gulf, The War on Drugs, and now the war on Terrorism; Americans have paid the price for their freedom in blood, sweat, and tears. This latest crisis in New York is just the latest battle, but is it a battle we can win? I am calling it Terrible Tuesday. I would call it tragic Tuesday, but I believe tragedy is something accidental and this was no accident. This was just the start of the war.
The revolution was a victory, as was WWI and WWII, but our record of winning these wars hasn't been that great lately. Korea and Vietnam were bad news and on the surface the Persian Gulf appeared to be a victory, but what of Saddam Hussein? Is he incarcerated anyplace or dead? Is he paying for all the destruction and havoc he caused? I'm not aware that the world's new police force, a.k.a. The United States of America, ever made an arrest in that case.
The track record of the politicians who run this country is to rattle the saber and charge our troops into battle but we spend our share of money on these crusades without seeing any clear-cut results. Is this going to be another case of a like incident? I want to know is America going to DO SOMETHING this time? The blood of innocent civilians, Police, Fire, and E.M.S. personnel cries out for revenge. I believe in letting God judge the guilty, but not this time! ! !
This time judgment must be swift, sure, and unmerciful. I can't say that I would ever know anyone who could be responsible for such a callous act. All I know is when U.S. law enforcement officials have incontrovertible proof of who did this, will they act on it? Are the politicians getting everyone fired up immediately so the fire will die down and they can perform some random bombing runs and kill a few people, innocent or otherwise, to somewhat satiate our bloodlust? Or will the real perpetrators of this heinous act be made to pay for their crimes?
What about all the other terrorist bombings like the 1993 bombings of this same building? What about all the airline security problems that were well known prior to this attack? Politicians rely on Americans to be too tired from working hard all day and raising their children to be able to see what really goes on which is nothing!This time we need to be sure we get the justice we deserve.
I have never been one to settle for random bombing runs to pay for random acts of violence, but only time will tell if we will see justice prevail in this case. I am just the average American citizen but I'm going to be keeping my eyes open. The one problem is the opinion of one man doesn't matter. Wake up America! ! ! ! Contribute your time, your money, your blood, sweat, and tears to getting New York and our nation back on track, but don't become complacent and let another horrible act of cowardice go unpunished. Keep your eyes open this time and pull together to make sure the people who perpetrated this horrible act do not go unpunished ! ! ! It is my sincerest prayer tonight Lord Jesus... Please let the leaders of this once great nation show me and the world that these great Americans have not died in vain! ! !
