Touch of Death

"Touch of Death deals 1 damage to target player and you gain 1 life. Draw a card at the beginning of the next turn."

I feel the going rate for turning a spell into a cantrip is 2 generic mana. A life total net switch of 2 life for one black mana is quite reasonable. There aren't really any direct combos that work with Touch of Death except all the ones that can retrieve soceries or benefit from you having extra cards in hand. I'm not going there tonight. Instead, I'll list some cards I'd possibly use in a degenerative black deck. Black has all kinds of cool reckless cards that can really trash yours and your opponent's life. The idea is to do it to your opponent a little faster than to yourself. I feel this kind of deck benefits greatly from Touch of Death. Giving yourself that effective 2 life swing can make or break a degenerative black deck quite often. These sorts of decks tend to leave you with an empty hand rather quickly. Touch of Death replaces itself (kinda), making it a double threat. Here goes:
