BAUDER - Mrs. Sarah L. Bauder)(nee Laurbach) Tuesday, April 10, 1928, wife of Harvey Bauder, passed away on Monday evening at her late home in Lower Saucon of pneumonia after an illness of slightly over a week. Deceased was born in Lower Saucon on Dec. 31, 1875, a daughter of Susannah(nee Harris) and the late Theodore Laubach. She was aged 52 years 3 months and 8 days. There survive her husband, a son, Clarence at home; her mother who resided with a sister of the deceased, Mrs. Marcus Illick, of Williams township, three brothers, Preston Laubach and Asher Laubach of Lower Saucon and John Laubach of Hellertown. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the the late home with services in the Lower Saucon Church at 2:30 p. m. Interment will follow in the Lower Saucon Cemetery.
HERON - Mrs. Charles Heron-June 24, 1914, Bethlehem Globe Times. The funeral cortege of the late Mary, wife of Charles Heron yesterday afternoon arrived here from Philadelphia and proceeded to St. Michael's cemetery, where the body was buried. Thomas Ryan, Manus McGee, Thomas Egan, Owen Doyle, H.P. McFadden and Thomas W. Scott were the pallberers. note:St. Michael's cemetery is located in South Bethlehm, Pa.hr> HESS -Edward O. Hess- Edward O. Hess 74, well-known retired farmer, and former school teacher, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Weidman, Jr. Upper Mt. Bethel, yesterday, following a short illness. A son of the late Serenus and Violet Moyer Hess, he spent his entire life in Upper Mt. Bethel Township. He was the last of his family retired from farming three years ago. He had been a member of Christ Reformed Church of Stone Church. He had been a charter member of P.O.S. of A at Stone Church and served 14 years as school director in the township. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Howard Weidman, with whom he resided; Mrs. Arthur Messinger of Bangor; Mrs. Charles Scheider, Maplewood, N.J. and George Hess of Upper Mt. Bethel; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be from the Weidman home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. John O. Reagle pastor of Christ Reformed Church officiate.
KESTER -Mrs. ELMIRA KESTER, widow of John A. Kester, died(1943) after 17 weeks of illness at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Snyder, Berlinsville. She was aged 76 years, 5 months and 23 days. She was born in Slatington, a daughter of the late Louis and Sarah, nee Baer, Andreas. Surviving are the following children; George, Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Fred Snyder, Berlinsville; Mrs. Roy Smith, Northampton; Allen; Allentown, and Mrs. Charles Walp, Slatington. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eleven great-grand children and a brother. Mrs. Kester was a member of St. John's Reformed Church Slatington. Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Friday at The David Heintzelman funeral home 314 2nd St. Slatington. Interment in Union Cemetery, Slatington. Rev. R.M. Paine will officiate.
PFEIFFER -June, 1914 - Louis Pfeiffer, 1122 Delaware Avenue, Fountain Hill, Pa. The funeral of the late Louis Pfeiffer yesterday afternoon took place from the family home, 1122 Delaware Avenue, Fountain Hill, Pa. A short service in the house and a service in first Moravian church, were conducted by Rev. H.E. Stocker. The body was buried in Nisky Hill cemetery, Bethlehem, Pa. There were many floral tributes. Adam Brinker, William A. Lynn, James Sterner and Martin A. Heller were the pallbearers.
PFEIFFER -August 1, 1943-HENRY PFEIFFER, 79 of 546 South Clewell Street, Bethlehem, died at the family home Sunday evening. Mr. Pfeiffer was born in Philadelphia, Dec. 5, 1863, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pfeiffer. He was united in marriage in Bethlehem 55 years ago to Lizzie nee Bratsch, and lived in Bethlehem practically all his entire life. His last employment was at Lehigh University, where he worked for 18 years. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Ghost in Fountain Hill, Pa. There survive, the wife, four sons, John, Ohio: Frank and Henry, Bethlehem, and Louis, Narberth; also 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wed. at 8:30 a.m. from the late home followed by a high mass in the Holy Ghost Church at 9:00 a.m. and burial in the family plot, Holy Ghost Cemetery.
PFEIFFER -FRANK PFEIFFER, 76,a retired Bethlehem plumber, died last night(1964) in St. Luke's hospital, Fountain Hill. He lived at 1219 Marvine St. Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Bratch(Bratsch)Pfeiffer. Surviving are his widow, Jenny Hersch Pfeiffer, two sons, Robert, Bethlehem, and William, Freemansburg; a daughter Parthenia, wife of Stephen Kutzera, Bethlehem; two brothers, John of Cincinnati and Louis of Narberth, Montgomery County; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Downing & Son Funeral Home, 202 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa.
Mrs. FRANK PFEIFFER, Mrs. Jennie M. Pfeiffer, 88 of Gracedale, Nazareth, R1 formerly of Bethlehem, died Oct. 1981 in the home. She was the widow of Frank Pfeiffer who died in 1964. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daugther of the late Ella Lear. She had been employed at the Grover Cleveland Democratic Club, Bethlehem as a cook for 23 years, retiring 10 years ago. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Bethlehem, Pa. Surviving is a son, William of Freemsburg; a daughter Mrs. Faustina Kutzers of Hellerton; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bickert of Bethlehem and Mrs. Ethel Auer of Roselle, NJ, seven grandchildren and 17 great grand children. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Friday in Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. James T. Downing Funeral Home had the arrangements.
