Our Projects
During our 10 months in NCCC we worked in:  North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee (and we all love Tennessee!), Alabama and Puerto Rico. We had two environmental, three unmet human needs and one educational project. Each project was special in its own way.
Caribbean National Forest
October 26, 2000 - December 4, 2000

We did doing trail rehab and reconstruction. We worked on 3 trails: Tradewinds, Big Tree and El Portal.
Alabama Rehab
September 6, 2000 - October 18,2000

We rehabilitated 2 trailers, fixed floors and roofs at different houses and salvaged tons of materials.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Knoxville
July 24, 2000 - August 31,2000

We tutored kids and taught the Street S.M.A.R.T program. We also took the kids on field trips and did some maintanance work. We made a lot of new friends.
Tennessee Community Assistance Corp. (TCAC)
May 24, 2000 - June 28, 2000

Working with three different Housing Authorities, we built picnic tables, benches and two bridges. We cleared out some areas for future use by the Public Housing residents.
United Methodist Relief Center
(UMRC) -

Mt. Pleasant,
South Carolina
Built an Elderly Transportable House. The ET House has been given to a low income e person for the duration of his live.
New River Builders - North Carolina
March 13, 2000- April 7, 2000

Planting trees and livestakes along the riverbank to prevent erosion and sedimentation.
