What is an aim vec?
In Counter-Strike and similar games, an aim vec[tor] is simply the point at which a weapon is fired at.
Can you describe it further?
Imagine a point in 3D space, there are three crutial ways that the point MUST be defined in order to understand where it is:
- Its distance from the ground
- Its distance from a point to the side of it
- Its distance from a point to the front/back of it
Only when we have this information will we know where the point exactly is.
If we move this theory to a player within Counter-Strike, we can define the aim vec, in relation to the actual player
concerned.
If we do this, the actual aim vec can be defined as:
- Its distance from the ground
- Its distance from a point to the left hand side of the player.
