Admissions
Before applying for enrollment at The Portland Academy, it
is important that both students and parents come for a visit, so that we can get
to know each other. For students to be admitted to this academy, this should be
an academy that your child wants to attend, and one that is a good match for
your child's interests, abilities and needs.
There is also an application that will need to be completed, and eventually an interviewing process where we sit down to get to know you and your child better prior to admissions decisions. Please phone us at 503-471-8240 to request an application or to arrange a visit.
Tuition and Scholarships
The 2004-2005 annual tuition at The Portland Academy will be $500.
Scholarships are available on an as-needed basis, with a formal financial aid application process for determining the level of need for each family. Given the importance of diversity at the academy, we want to do all that we can to make this type of education accessible to all children.
Additional costs for field trips, materials and supplies, as well as Out-of-Class Learning activities will not be included in the tuition.
