WHY TAKE REFUGE IN JEHOVAH Thirty-five milllion worldwide are refuge's. They are looking for safety and peace. All mankind is seeking refuge. Where can they look for refuge and peace? Proverbs 14:12 Man faced with death Ecclesiastes 12:13 Genuine happiness is linked to god. Jeremiah 10:23, 24 A man without god in incomplete. Wisdom comes in knowing Jehovah. Genesis 3: 17-19 Romans 5: 12 Job 14:1-4 Revelation 3: 15-17 Neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth We need to bring refreshment to each other. They became lovers of pleasures instead of lovers of God. We do not want to be self-reliant on riches. We want our lives to revolve around jehovah. We need to examine our priorities. Am I making Jehovah my refuge? Proverbs 18:10 Jehovah is our strong tower. We have to run to that tower. Romans 10:13 We have to know what God's name is, his attributes, works, qualities and purposes. Malachi 3:16 Why is it important to think on Jehovah's name? Jehovah means "He causes to become." He wants us to use his name. We must seek his righteousness. Psalm 15:1,2 Jehovah has opened wide the door of his refuge. How? Through the ransom sacrifice1 John 2: 1-5 It is a loving provision and a warning Psalms 56:2 a hearer of prayers Psalms 66:19 Jehovah wants us to talk to him through prayer. God makes himself approachable to his servants. 1 John 5:14 Prayers in harmony with his divine will are answered. Philippians 4:4-7 We want to use that power of prayer. Another refuge is Jehovah's organization God's word gives us warning Colossians 2:8 Let us look to Jehovah, his word, and the elders for advice. Isaiah 32:1,2 2 Thessalonians 2:17 Ephesians 4:8 Elders are gifts in men within the Christian congregation to love, to encourage. Our kingdom Melodies gets us in the right frame of mind. Colossians 3:16 Praise Jehovah with song. Keep our mind focused on God's word when we come to meetings. We help people out of Satan's system when we preach the Good News. This world offers nothing Revelation 6:15-17 They have rejected Jehovah when it was offered to them. Nothing will shelter them from Jehovah's wrath. Our only refuge is with Jehovah. Psalms 57:1 Jehovah invites all mankind to take refuge in him. Continue to take spiritual refuge in Jehovah and we will enter into the New Order.
