Progress Quest is an innovative role-playing game with a remarkably simple user interface. Check out its website for more information.
In general, a guild in a role-playing game is a group of people who decide they want to work together somehow in playing the game. If the game allows teams, they play on the same team; otherwise they find some other way to cooperate, like adding their kills or points to the guild pool.
It's simple--just get a group of people together who like Progress Quest, and go on adventures together. And make yourselves a cool webpage while you're at it.
We play Progress Quest together and describe what happens to our characters.
You need to download Progress Quest first.
Not really. We just tried to get a good idea of what questions people might ask us if this informational page weren't here.
Yeah, more or less.
Out, out, you demons of stupidity!
Many of us have several characters running; to make things fair, and easier on the statskeeper, only one character per member will be entered into the tallies. Not surprisingly, each person prefers to be ranked by his or her highest-ranking character.
Yep.
So we don't have to hassle current members to accept new members when we know ahead of time that they have no objections to new recruits.
As far as I know, it's been zero since day one.
Each member, upon joining the guild, is allowed to select a title of his or her choice.
Of course.
Right now I do them by hand.
Not with only ten members. I update the stats about once a day, and it usually takes less than five minutes. If we get very many more members, though, I might want to set up a script to update it for me every 6 to 12 hours or so.
