Beginning in June ,
B.E.2525
, the villagers recieved
significant encouragement
from Their Majesties the
King Bhumibol and Queen
Sirikit of Thailand when
they came to stay at the
Royal " Phupan
"
Palace in Sakol Nakhon
Province for their annual
visit. Her Majesty the
Queen has rendered special
interest to the
khid-patterned fabrics
which they have been presented
to her. She thereby recommended
the new
patterns such as khid
with som-det
, kam-poo
, kab-shaba
, phikul
, century
designs. If you are interested.

She
has also suggested that silk
thread be used instead of
cotton. Hence the villagers
were able to delvelop new
khid patterns , used of
proper dyes and new weaving
skills. The finished silk
goods are both for sale and
annual prize
competition when the loyal
couple came to reside at the
royal palace.
