Hi everyone! As you have already seen their are 3 Brownie Troops in Thompson Falls. The best thing about our Brownie troops is that we believe in the phrase "Sister Girl Scouts" so all three of our Brownie troops do everything together!
We may be 3 separate troops, but we act as one big Brownie Family!
We would like to introduce ourselves to you! Our names are:

Their names are Kerry & Ginny.
For those of you who don't know about Brownies we can tell you some of what we do. As brownies we work on "Try-Its". A Try-It is a recognition badge we can earn. We have many "Try-Its" to choose from. As a troop we pick one of these recognitions and then "try it" by doing some of the assignments. That is why they named our recognition badges "Try-Its"! There are different types of "Try-Its" and they cover a bunch of neat things. Science, Math, Art, Music, History, Sports, Computers, are just some of the different subjects covered by "Try-Its"!
We don't just work on "Try-Its".
We also like to sing and make crafts and play games! One of our favorite games we play is called "Under the Desk".
Would you like to "Try" our game? (hee hee hee) Here are the instructions.
Under The Desk
To play you will need a desk or another object large enough to hide a girl from your troop behind. We use a desk because we meet in a classroom. We cover the bottom opening of the desk with our school bookbags so no one can see who is under the desk. One girl is asked to step outside the door,( we have a monitor) so she can not see or hear who is chosen to go under the desk. Then another girl hides under the desk. The rest of the girls switch places in their seats to try and confuse the 1st girl outside the door. When we are all ready the door monitor lets in the girl outside the door. Then she must try and guess who is under the desk.
It sounds easy, but???????
Another thing we have done this year is our Council wide "Brownie Valentine Contest" This is a contest put on by our Big Sky Council. The Rules say that we must make our valentine completely by ourselves. We are given a size that it can not be bigger than. We can decorate it any way we wat. Our troop provides things like paper, pens & pencils, crayons, glue, and markers. We can bring other things from home to use also. Then when we are done, we pick which category we want our valentine to be judged in. The three categories are: Prettiest, Funniest, and Most Loving. The valentines are then judged by the Senior & Cadet Troops. The winners are then sent to our Big Sky Council to be judged along with all other winners from all over our council. The winning valentines are then sent to people like President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Our Govenor, our Mayors, and other people like that. All of the Brownie valentines are given to special people in our communities also. There are NO losers in this contest because when it is done each valentine is given to a special person to say "Happy Valetines Day!" This is great fun to do and also to know that on Valetines Day we made someone very special feel happy!
