JOHN MARSHALL DRYDOCK PICTURES

Here's the photo of J.M. in the SRF Guam Drydock. It was taken approximately December 1980, while the Blue crew had the boat. We were in drydock for some sonar hydrophone work (for once the engineers didn't have the football). We got out of drydock a few days before Christmas and crossed the International Date Line on Christmas Eve, headed for Pearl Harbor. Upon arrival at P.H. we combined crews and subsequently transited to Subase Bangor for missile off-load, and became an instant slow approach (SSN). Then we headed to Charleston, SC for re-homeporting via the Panama Canal. Then the fun really began!
