    • Internet2 handles 10-40Gb/s data flows to the user
    • Carrier Grade LINUX tries to fix UNIX portability problems.
  • 2001 Supercomm Notes
    • Major topics: Wireless, IP, Broadband
  • ASPs (Application Service Providers) had a quick rise and fall in 
    the early 2000s.  A careful analysis during a peak can uncover a big
     downturn and avoid future losses. See the reviews and reports 
    written during the 2000 peak... not after the crash when all of the
     results were known by everyone...
  • OSS  Conference Notes (3/2000)
    • Flat Rate billing is growing. Telcos don't like it.
    • Human error causes most downtime.
