COP FINDS KATE SO ARRESTING
Handsome police boss Tom Chandler (Steven Hartley) is
playing with fire - he has the hots for one of his dishy
young girl 'tecs. He tries to keep his feelings for
sultry Detective Constable Kate Spears (Tania Emery)
under wraps. But that old bird Sergeant June Ackland
can't be fooled. She's furious with Chief Superintendent
Chandler for being so foolish. And she's livid with DC
Spears over her attitude at Sunhill. Tania, a former
hair salon assistant, is delighted with the strong
storyline for her character, who she describes as
"feisty kick-ass kind of girl". Tonight,
Chandler proudly displays the cop shop's
state-of-the-art closed circuit tv system to a group of
young offenders to show them that they're monitored 24
hours a day. But he's left red-faced when the high-tec
cameras later become the focus of attack.
