Don't Forget Your Toothbrush first aired on August 15, 1995. It was a live gameshow hosted by Tim and Wendy Mooney (known as Miss Wendy.) The show was based on a television program from Britain. It was screened on Tuesday nights, up against Blue Heelers, and it was repeated on Saturday mornings.

The main idea behind the show was that two members of the studio audience would win a trip overseas on a fantastic dream holiday, or to one of Australia's lesser known holiday destinations (or, in other words, shit heaps). But, there was one condition. Those two audience members selected had to leave that night, have their suitcases already packed, own valid passports, and of course bring their toothbrushes.

The games played on the show were quite bizarre, and often caused a little embarrassment to some members of the audience. A few times fetishes were revealed, secrets spread around the country, or people made fools of themselves on live national television.

Tim and Wendy were known for their matching outfits, and Tim belted out two songs during the course of each show (one of which was the show's theme song, Volare, which was sung at the end of the show).

Among the prizes that were given away were cars, trips, a donkey, suitcases, and many thousands of dollars worth of prize money. Home viewers were also able to get in on the action in games such as "A Game in Your House".

Only one series of Toothbrush was made, although plans had been made for a follow-up series. The main reason for the non-renewal was the cost of making the show and prizes.

After Toothbrush, Miss Wendy went on to be a special reporter for Time Out For Serious Fun, made guest appearances on Hey Hey It's Saturday and she worked on Gonged But Not Forgotten.
