I began singing as a member of the Rochester Oratorio Society in 1994, where many musical opportunities were afforded me. I sang with ROS until 2000, and recently have begun performing with them again, in Fall 2005.

I have always loved to sing, and began voice study in 1993 after first performing "A Coronation Mass" by Mozart as a member of a church choir. This piece, though far above my technical ability at the time, thrilled me. It was a challenge that I embraced, and I sought an outlet to learn and perform more classical choral repertoire.

I was privileged to sing with the Eastman-Rochester Chorus of the Eastman School of Music under the baton of Dr. William Weinert, Chairman of the school's Choral and Conducting Department from January 2001 - May 2002, The Gregory Kunde Chorale in Fall 2003, Irondequoit Community Chorus, 1993-1994, as well as Finger Lakes Choral Festival for the summers of 2004 & 2005.

I was a private voice student under Mr. Robert Mowers from approximately 1997-2003. Mr. Mowers is retired from Rochester Institute of Technology/ National Technical Institute for the Deaf, a former teacher of music in the Rochester City Schools and at Monroe Community College, where I sang as a member in his chorus from 1977-78. I have also studied voice privately with Ms. Colleen Liggett of Hochstein School of Music, one semester, Ms. Valerie Errante, formerly of Eastman School of Music Community Education Division, two semesters, and Mr. Ivan Griffin, Eastman School of Music Community Education Division, one summer session.
