A Little Bit About Myself...

this is a pic my friend took of me a while ago... she scanned it and put it up on her page without my permission... i decided that if she had a pic of me i, then should have it, too... it's a bit old, maybe 3 or 4 years now... i don't even remember.

well.. i've decided to change around my info page again cause i keep changing... i should do it more often but i am a chronic procrastinator. i can't spell for shit. i'm a 19 y/o gal from Newfoundland, it's a little island stuck out in the middle of the Atlantic. my fav movie is Circle of Friends. i got a job that i hate and too many siblings. i love poetry, pigs, and pi. my idol, of sorts, is Homer Simpson. that should indicate just how lazy i am. i am completely insane, too. tee hee hee.

right now i'm living in a community called Cornwall. it is located on ontario, not too far from both Ottawa and Montreal. There's a bridge here that could take me to the states, if ever i wanted. why am i here? you ask. i'm here as a participant of Katimavik.

Katimavik is a program for young canadians aged 17-21. we get to live in three different regions in canada to "experience culture," do volunteer work, and learn french (or english if you're francophone). not to mention learn how to live with 11 strangers from accross the country. it's kinda crazy. kinda? no, totally. we work for a grand total of $3 a day. woohoo! it's a good thing that i'm not in this for the money. Here's another picture of me that was taken by one of the people i worked with in Katimavik in my first rotation. For the first ten weeks of katimaexperience i was placed in a town called Gimli, which is in manitoba. anyhoo, this crappy pic of me was in the community newspaper for a town called Winnipeg Beach. I helped work on it while i was there.

oh, ya, remember to watch out for those yellow monkies eaing tomatoes in the sand.
