¡PLOP! is the collaboration between these two artists:
HARLAN is a solo project created by Harlan Lyman. HARLAN was spawn circa 1994. His forte is the
drums, beginning to play at age 9. Throughout school he played drums in concert, symphonic, and
marching bands. Harlan was first inspired to play drums via Rap Music in the early 80's when he
used to beat box and play knuckle beats on the desk tops in school. Harlan started playing
clubs at age 13 in a metal band called Seraphim. As time evolved, he played in a multitude of
bands ranging in styles from Jazz, Hip-Hop, Punk rock, Metal, Experimental drumming ensembles,
Trip-Hop, Live Drum n' Bass, and more. HARLAN is a well known figure in the underground and has
been reviewed in many zines and played on college radio all around the world, always receiving
good reviews specific to his originality, creativity, and overall funkiness. There have been
several HARLAN releases on cassette, 7" vinyl, and limited edition CD.
Harlan brings additional talents to the table. He's an accomplished poet who is listed in the
last three editions of The International Who's Who(POET'S AND POETRY), and has been published in
almost twenty poetry anthologies, as well as close to one hundred zine publications.
Andy Soto is a classicaly trained musician since age 5.He has played in several indy bands in
Mexico,including PITBULL which was an international band comprised of musicians from the U.S.,
Germany,Austrailia,and Mexico.He is currently playing with SUPERBOTON in which they just finished
their cd "Self-titled".Andy is also currently involved in recording ambient music of his own and
experimenting with loops in music as well as life.He also writes short stories and is taking up
poetry as well.
¡PLOP! was created by networking through the internet and underground,the two artist knowing after
trading ideas and music created by each that the result of placing the two styles together would create
a style that is diverse and innovative.In listening to ¡PLOP! you can here many styles within such as:
trip hop,metal,drum and bass,funk,jazz,hip hop,ambient,and so on...¡PLOP! will be on tour in europe this
