Welcome to Wonderland! This site is dedicated to the genre of modern music that is today known as synthpop (with some reference to EBM and other industrial genres here and there.) "Back in the day" it was known as New Wave, but to a certain extent that title has stuck, especially with those who haven't looked up the new scene. Modern synthpop is basically a linear descendant of the older New Wave of the 1980s rather than a recreation of it. There are some important differences in equipment as well as in style. In general, the scene is more mature, with fuller sounds, more mature songs, and better equipment.

However, because the modern scene is deep underground, most people who come across this page (I assume; I have no way of taking demographic surveys, really) aren't familiar with synthpop today, I'll focus on "New Wave" in general; the older as well as the new. Follow the link to the introduction to see some of what the site offers.

Technical Note: I decided to make this site relatively "lo-fi," that is I have some of the conveniences of frames but without frames, since so many people don't like them much, and I also have very few graphics. Since the important content of the pages is included in the text, I obviously spared no expense there, however!
