Faith without Works?

Can faith without works save? St. James raises this issue in his letter and concludes that faith without works is dead. Translated to our day we would say that is we believe that God is the Author of all the life, then we must protect life from its conception to its death. This belief must translate into a work. We contend that the life of the unborn child is a gift from the Almighty but we fail to work to end this abortion mentality within our community by becoming passive. Passivity kills. Faith without works is dead.

In other words, when we do not actively partake in works that express our faith especially in the essential truth of the value of human life, then we have contributed to the works of death. Consequently, we are killing ourselves - not physically, not psychologically, but eternally. Young and old, great and humble, rich and poor we should all express our faith.

We have been passive too long. Let us take a convinced stand for Life and be Proud of it. Remember that the month of October is dedicated to the sanctity of life
