The Kid's Home Page

Ya'at'eeh' Shik'is, Shi'bro, Shi'heart. Hi, I'm the Kid [John Job]. Welcome to my little home away from home, home page [subject to continuous growth and refinement. . . I'll try to keep it going]. I remain unsure of how I got here. But I know with this first step we will embark upon a memorable journey together. Let's go.

This page has been beckoning to me to do some long overdue editting. So finally between moves and between classes I've been cleaning it up a bit and moving a few things around. Some things I moved out completely and am not allowed to link to directly on another server. So if you can't find something, ask.

SWEETHEARTS OF NAVAJOLAND

The Sweethearts at Canyon de Chelly. From left to right: Darlene Juan, Lillian Ashley, Earlene Cooke, Betty Totsoni, and Marlene Hardy. This was my first album cover. I believe the ladies record exclusively with Canyon Records.

Eventual Contents:
Just All The Rez

Are we having fun yet? Give me time. I'm just getting started. Well, I'm back on the Rez. Presently Tsaile Arizona (again). And I'm hooked up to the local phone company once again --this time DSL. It's a little more congenial. I hooked up a Linksys Router so I can use both the MAC and the PC on the same line. But I haven't figured out how to network them together yet. It's suppose to be a simple thing. They both have their advantages.I added a navigational bar to the "top" of my pages. This way if something is slow to load, or you just haven't cleared out your contiguous memory in awhile, or you can only look during your coffee break, or if maybe you've been here before and know where it is you want to go, you can still check out some of the other pages, without having to go back home. I was afraid that this was going to mess with the overall aesthetics. But so far it has come off quite well. Again, any suggestions are welcome.

I got the scanner and I took a job that will allow me the time I need for doing a few more of the things that I enjoy. Audra was the 44th Miss Navajo Nation. She reigned from 1995 to 1996. I hope to get some of my pics up. Meanwhile, I think that the one's that are here are Sam Vino's.

In an HTML class we were told that everyone should use small image files. The only image I was able to scan during the workshop though lacked both color and resolution. I've been working out the trade off. I would rather have clarity and color. So we're working on the most minimal compromise. I've about got the knack of scanning. I've been playing with a basic digital camera. It has a lot to offer. And I'm looking at which one to get for my professional work. I'm still learning. So much to learn. So little time.

I spent six months in the heart of Dixie. It's been awhile now. Time flies. Northern Arizona and New Mexico are home. I read up on Meta Tags and put them on all my pages, then read that search engines no longer consider them. A couple of my early pages are heavy pixel. If these don't work for you let me know.

I'm trying a lot of things. So if something doesn't come off right let me know--Email me or tell me in my guest book. Or just leave me a note anyway just to let me know you've been here. Thanks for the visits from those of you who have. I'm trying out a couple of different browsers. And I'm finding that some things need to be written a little different. So far nothing major though. Hang with me.

Some of the graphics on this page were provided by Silverhawk creations--specifically the silver and turquoise bracelet bar at the top, the kokopelli link button, the wolf tracks button, the pipe . . .and a couple of separator bars. These are all Sam's work. Do not copy these graphics. These items are copyrighted, check out his link though for some great graphics:

Thank you Sam.
