I need an 18+ Card!

Some of you may have already discovered that you need a passport or an 18+ card for clubs, pubs and bars. A driver's licence from your home country or your UQ student ID card will not do!

If you haven't already got an 18+ card, here's what to do:
Take
1) Your passport; and
2) at least one other form of ID with your printed name, photo, signature e.g. home country driver's licence, bank/credit card, birth certificate ...etc.

Welcome to Semester 2 at the University of Queensland Brisbane Australia...and to the Students Abroad Club. To our returning members, we hope you have had a relaxing and eventful break. To our new members, you are in for a treat this Semester as we have planed bigger and better events than ever before!

BareFoot Bowling BrisVegas Style - Saturday 29 July:

Can't contain your excitement to do things all Aussie any longer? Interested in meeting your fellow Students Abroad early in the Semester? Looking to say hello to your friendly Executive Committee? Then our Bare Foot Bowling Evening is for you!

The evening takes place as follows: 

Where: The Booroodabin Bowls Club, 126 Breakfast Creek Road Newstead

What: 2 hours of barefoot bowling madness following a buffet style BBQ dinner (steak, chicken, fish and vegetarian) 

When: Saturday 29 July 2006 at 6:00pm 

Tickets are $25 each and strictly limited. Check your email for further details and Public Transport Routes to Newstead. 

 
International  Students Wanted!

SAC Wednesday Sessions @ the RE

SAC Thursdays @ the RE are a great opportunity (excuse) to have a drink or two, meet some new people, and really soak up the atmosphere of the local Uni pub. SAC Wednesdays @ the RE will happen throughout the semester, and are your chance to touch base with your fellow SAC members about what you've been up to over the last couple of weeks, and to get to know some 'true blue' Aussies while you're at it. Give us a call if you've got any questions, or you can even checkout the RE's website (www.rehotel.com.au). Otherwise, just rock up on the night and look for the Aussie flag.
