Did I say "Glory" ? :-)
In my club "Snicker Snack", rather than have the "maestro" dispense lessons
mysteriously from his head, all the secrets were laid open for anyone to
practice. This had the additional advantage that the "maestro" didn't have
to do all the teaching since anyone could learn it. This in turn meant more
lessons could be given. And for "anyone could", read "everyone had to".
Few people like coaching until they know how to do it, but it's not too bad,
can be quite fun, and is incredibly useful to both coacher and club.
More than useful - a quality club needs to give each fencer at
least 30 mins individual coaching every session, which usually means no more
than three fencers per coach, and preferably two. So for a cheap club the
fencers really must coach.
The standard Snicker Snack system.
The wheelchair adaptations but note,
some of the tricks have been renumbered.
