"A Place For Cooling Out"
We take pride in keeping our park clean and safe with activities that all people in the neighborhood can share in. During the summer months there is literally someone "always" in the park. Our Pool maintenance Attendants are on duty around the clock to prevent any injuries or unauthorized swimming.
Some people who come here are
regulars. Some only come for special events and some people are drawn like
a moth to flame by just passing by and seeing the activity. Some people
have told me that they were going by on the bus and got off because they
could see the fun we were having. Stinger Square is the type of place that
attracts people because of it's beauty. And keeps them coming back because
of the love they feel flowing through it when they visit.
We've had people pull over in
their cars and get out and join us for good times. Whatever their reasons,
it is a testament that Stinger is the place to be!!! We have activities every evening once our season starts. Monday is our Senior Walk night. Tuesday is Poetry In The Park night.Wednesday is Volleyball and Game Night where children can come and play all kinds of
fun games and win prizes. Thursday is Horseshoe night when all of our members gather to have fun and play horseshoes and other games and Friay is Karaoke night. The winners of our Karaoke night contests will be the opening acts for our concerts in the park this year. We have things for people of all ages to get involved in and people are really getting involved. These are the things that make Stinger Square truly an "urban
oasis" and a place where a community gathers.
