My own thoughts... for what they're worth:
Ok, so Switch 625 wasn't a single (it was a B-side) but couldn't they have put it on this double CD? If that track and Desert Song aren't the best of Def Leppard, I don't know what is! I'm also disappointed that there's only one pic of Steve (see left - pic by Ross Halfin) in the whole booklet for this version (all I bought this for!)... and barely a mention in the intro write up :( This time the introduction is by Dave Ling. I much preferred Peter Mensch's intro that appeared on the Vault album.

My own thoughts... for what they're worth:
The single CD album version has already been around for 9 years at the time of it's release - it's basically Vault with different artwork.
I've had a moan, but I think the two CD set is very good intro to Def Leppard for new fans, even if it is the record company just cashing in on the DL back catalogue. If it makes more people aware of Steve that can only be a good thing - he has brought so much into my life with his wonderful music.

My own thoughts... for what they're worth:

Someone at the record company has answered my prayers lol. Switch 625 finally makes an appearance on a DL compilation (took them 10 years though, didn't it?). It should have been on Vault and it should have been on the UK and ROW version of this release immediately after Bringin' On The Heartbreak just as it is on the High 'N' Dry album, but that's just my opinion.

For others here in the UK wondering whether to get this on import like I did: the pic of Steve is still the only pic and it's the same one, and the write up is the same as the UK and ROW release of this i.e. by Dave Ling.

The only real major difference for any Steve fans is now that Switch 625 is included it also means notes about it are, just like all the other tracks, and these are as follows:

Sav : "Steve played us these four chords then went on "then there's this bit that goes over the top. Then another bit that goes over the top of those bits. Then another bit that goes over the top of those bits" and we're thinking he's really lost it this time! Needless to say they all fitted wonderfully. That was Steve's genius. The title we picked from an album sleeve design done by a friend."
Rick : "Thanks to Steve this is a great chance to hear the band shine without Joe (sorry Joe), and when we play it live I get my 30 seconds in the spotlight. Cool song." LOL.

I think this is better than the version we got in the UK and the rest of the world, but it still leaves one question... just where is Desert Song?!
