I haven't read any posts through here but here is my take

The T5 fit like a glove into my 66. All I had to do is bolt up the windsor fox crossmember.. just a light persuasion from a hammer put it right into place nicely

oh.. I did put about a half inch notch in the rear of the shifter hole to allow the adjustment screw for the shifter to come through and have room to move and not hit the floor.

Hey VT, I am putting a TKO into mine. I got it froma guy that specializes in transmissions for mustangs and classic mustangs. His name is Eric and this is his website. http://www.swarrauto.com/ He is a tad expensive, but definitely knows what hes doing. If you have the shortened input shaft on that tranny already, he can sell you a crossmember for it. If you have the stock input shaft... well... you'll need to fabricate your own. He also recommends dropping the engine by about an inch. That way there will be very little trans tunnel banging.

You guys might want to note that this thread is like 3 months old. The tremec's been in the car for 2.5 months now.

Thanks for trying to help though.

Oh, FWIW, when I went to carlisle this weekend, I averaged 80 mph for the first 130 miles of the trip. MPG: 20.7. Overdrive is a beautiful thing.

Well ok, for one that first picture is the install of my TKO.
I'd like to mention the crossmember is NOT installed at that point!!! You're looking at a really bad angle because of the lack of support...
