About Me
"The teacher doesn't teach, not really. The teacher offers stimulation and ways in which the person can educate himself or herself. At best the teacher wakes up, shakes up a person and makes a person hungry." --Maya Angelou
Welcome to my ABOUT ME page! I am so excited to be working with this year's group of students. If you are a student of mine or a parent of a student of mine, I welcome you to explore this site and become familiar with it. Here I will post all activities of the classroom so that we can open the lines of communication and have a great school year!

I graduated from Marywood University in 1999 with a BA in English Education. In January of 2006, I received a MS in Education, specializing in Integrating Technology in the Clasroom from Walden University. I embrace technology as a tool to build 21st century skills that students need. I have enjoyed teaching at Newark Valley High School for the past nine years. I enjoy working in the district and hope to spend many more years here contributing to the education and development of the youth in this community.

I live with my family in Susquehanna, PA. I have four beautiful children. I enjoy working in my garden, canning, landscaping, reading, writing, and developing web pages. My favorite vacation spot is Lancaster, PA. I enjoy all types of food except for beets, YUCK!
